Our Commitment to Staff Development
K&H invests heavily in staff development, financially and in providing staff release time to participate. It is our belief that, directly and indirectly, knowledge contributes to delivering both a better deliverable and customer service experience to our clients. Some of our recent initiatives include:
- Our Certified Applicators/Technicians regularly attend accredited training on behalf of maintaining their certifications
- Ongoing training on computers, software, apps, PDAs, and smart phones
- All Managers and Foremen use an enterprise-wide software program, via their iPhones, that automates the company's time sheet, billing, and customer service processes
- Landscape designers pursue professional development opportunities on a regular basis and attend industry meetings and seminars
- Heavy equipment certification – A must for all operators
- Occupational English & Customer Service Training
- Occupational Spanish – English-speaking Managers are offered Spanish language (and cultural awareness) training to enhance their working relationships with the Crews they manage in the field
- A year-round “K&H Certified” training program for all Production Crews
K&H is fully licensed, bonded & insured. Our employees are covered under workmen's compensation and carry the necessary permits/licenses for the state of Virginia.
